Nancy Stalter 
   

Nancy E.  Stalter; CEO, CSEO, CBSS, CMHS, CEI

 
    In 1977, the same year Nancy received her Bachelor of Arts degree, she entered Bank of America's escrow training program.  She stayed with Bank of America until 1985 and went on to work in various capacities as Escrow Officer, Branch Manager, Escrow Underwriter, and Escrow Trainer of several independent and title escrow companies. 

She holds the professional designations from the California Escrow Association of Certified Escrow Officer, Certified Senior Escrow Officer, Certified Bulk Sale Specialist, Certified Mobile Home Specialist, and Certified Escrow Instructor. She is currently a co-owner of Shamrock Escrow Services, Inc.

 
 

She has a Master's Degree in Education, as well as a Community College Lifetime Credential, and has taught escrow courses for the past 28 years. 

With a 36-year background in the escrow industry and 28 years of teaching experience, she decided to launch her own escrow training company in 2004, The Business of Escrow (www.thebusinessofescrow.com).  In addition to training, she has served as an expert witness in litigation matters and consultant.

Nancy has served in practically every capacity of San Gabriel and Tri County Escrow Associations, including Past President of both. In addition she has served on the Executive Board of the California Escrow Association. 

 
                       

Terri Miali Fabbri; CEO, CSEO, CBSS, CMHS, CEI

 

Terri Fabbri has been Senior Escrow Officer at Design Escrow, Inc. in Arcadia since 2002. She began her escrow career in 1959 at Lawyers Title Division of Title Insurance and Trust Company in Los Angeles.  

Fabbri has worked for various independent escrow companies throughout the San Gabriel Valley during her escrow career and has processed all types of escrows including residential, refinances, tracts/subdivisions, commercial and industrial, mobile homes and business opportunity transactions. 

A long time member of Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley, Fabbri served as their president in 1990 and 1991. She currently chairs the Professional Designation/Continuing Education Committee.  

Fabbri has been active at the state level since 1990 and was appointed CEA Director in 1991. She has served on the Professional Designations, Membership, AEA, Awards, Conference Program, Public Relations, Newsletter and Technology Committees. 

Fabbri was elected to the CEA Executive Board in 1995 and has served as Conference Chair, Education Chair and Public Relations/Liaison Chair. She holds the Professional Designations of Certified Escrow Officer, Certified Senior Escrow Officer, Certified Bulk Sale Specialist, Certified Mobile Home Specialist and Certified Escrow Instructor.Terri is active promoting education and professionalism in the industry.  

A native Californian, Fabbri has lived in Arcadia for over 36 years. She has three grown children, three granddaughters and two grandsons.

Miriam H. Brown; CEO, CSEO, CEI

   
 

Miriam H. Brown began her career in 1976 with Western Title Insurance Company. She went on to work at other title companies, a bank and an internet company. She joined First American Title in 2003 when the National Commercial Services Division opened the Downtown Los Angeles office. Then, in 2005 she transferred to the Inland Empire. Over her carrer she has worked in the Counties of Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino. She currently works from her home office as a Consultant, Instructor, Notary Public, and expert Witness.

As an active member and director of her regional escrow association, Miriam has worked on every committee and served as president in 1997. She developed the website for the Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley and currently maintains it. She holds the professional designations of Certified Escrow Officer, Certified Senior Escrow Officer, and Certified Escrow Instructor.

Tamara joined Wells Fargo Escrow Services in 1988 as a receptionist.  She worked for several independent escrow companies in Northern California until 1997.

In 1998 Tamara moved to the Antelope Valley area where she managed a small Title Company branch office doing residential real estate and some personal property.  During the thirteen years she has lived in the Antelope Valley she has worked for smaller Title Companies as an Escrow Officer and/or Manager.  She spent 3 years of intensive study with a major title company in their National Commercial Escrow Department learning everything she could about doing escrow nationally, defeasance transactions and other commercial issues that can come up during the escrow process.

In 2008 due to the economic swing in real estate she took the real estate license she earned in 2007 while helping her son with his high school Senior Project and began working full time as a REALTOR. 

 
   

She is a past president of the Sacramento Valley Escrow Association (1997), Los Angeles Escrow Association (2005) and the Escrow Association of Antelope Valley (2006-2007) and in 2008 she served as the Professional Designation Portfolio Chair for CEA.  She is currently a member of the following professional organizations:

Colleen Graves; CSEO, CEI

   
   

Colleen began her Escrow career as an Escrow Secretary in 1977.  Since then, she has handled every type of escrow:  Vacant Land purchases, Land Acquisitions for new home building sites; Land Contracts; All-Inclusive Deeds of Trust; Lease Options; Commercial Resales and Refinances; Business Opportunity Escrows; Liquor Licenses; Corporate Stock Transfers; Crops; Livestock; Off and On Shore Oil/Mineral Rights; Government Patent Land purchases; 1031 Exchanges; Eminent Domain; FEMA Disaster purchases; Personal Property sales of all types; Bridges; Flight Path rights; Airline hangars; Mobilehomes; Probate sales; New Home Tract sales; Residential Resales and Refinances.  Colleen has been a sought-after speaker on various Escrow subjects as well as 1031 Exchanges through the Western states.

Colleen currently holds the position of President for the Tri-County Escrow Association.  This is her second term.  Colleen holds the designations of Certified Senior Escrow Officer and Certified Escrow Instructor through the California Escrow Association.  She has trained several generations of Escrow personnel, and has written several training courses for the California Escrow Association.

Miriam J. Bowers; CSEO, CEI

   
   

Miriam Bowers began her career in escrow in 1976 at Sherwood Escrow – Winfied Title Company in Ventura County. 

Over the years she has worked for independent escrows, assisted in the formation of broker owned escrows and for the last eighteen years worked as escrow officer and branch manager for several title company escrows in San Diego County. 

During these years she handled escrows of residential property, land acquisition, mobile home/land escrows, bulk sales, condominium conversions, commercial and high liability escrows, exchanges and high volume REO accounts. 

Received Certified Escrow Officer designation from California Escrow Association in 1989, Certified Senior Escrow Officer in 1996 and Certified Escrow Instructor in 2003. 

She was President of North San Diego County Escrow Association in 1992, 1993 and 1998, California Escrow Association State Director from North County Escrow Association from 1992 through 2006.  American Escrow Association California Alternate and then California State Director from 1998 through 2003. 

Escrow II Instructor at Palomar College Spring Semester 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2006.  Escrow III Instructor at Palomar College Fall Semester 2006.

Liz Simmons - CEO, CSEO

 
   

Liz Simmons is a Certified Escrow Instructor and Certified Senior Escrow Officer and has been doing her own escrows as a Mortgage Broker in the State of California for over 19 years.  Liz started out in banking after receiving her B.A. from Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois) and while working in the loan department earned an M.B.A. from Loyola University (Chicago, Illinois).  She entered the mortgage field in 1984 and soon after moving to California obtained a Real Estate Broker’s license.  Opening her own mortgage company in 1991 she decided to do her own escrows. She also spent 7 ½ years as a mortgage underwriter for a wholesale lender underwriting conventional and niche loans.  She is a past President and Director of the Inland Empire Chapter of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers, a member of the Inland Valley Association of Realtors and is currently the President for the Tri County Escrow Association.  At the present time she is a co-owner of Shamrock Escrow Services, Inc.

 
   


Linda Hamilton - CEO, CSEO, CEI
 

   

Linda’s escrow career began in 1976, when Selectric II typewriters were considered “hi-tech”.  Over the last 37 years, Linda’s experience has included part-ownership of a family owned escrow company and employment in bank, title and independent escrow environments.  Her job positions have varied from receptionist/secretary in the beginning to escrow operations manager, but her favorite position is still “Escrow Officer”.  She also loves escrow advisory and enjoys training and teaching those learning the business of escrow.

Linda currently works at Chicago Title in Oxnard where she is a Senior Escrow Officer in the commercial title and escrow department.  She holds the California Escrow Association professional designations of Certified Senior Escrow Officer and Certified Escrow Instructor and is currently serving as Professional Designation Chair for the Ventura County Escrow Association, where she is also a past president and will be serving as Regional Director in 2014.

Linda lives in Camarillo, has 3 grown children and 5 glorious grandchildren (with another on the way soon!).
   


Teresa L. Shaver - CEO, CS
EO, CEI
 

    Teresa stumbled into escrow in 1994 when she accepted a three day "temporary" position with an employment agency in the High Desert. The job description read "making copies of papers and mailing documents." After that three day period, she was offered a permanent position and accepted, not realizing it would turn into a new career.

As a proud student of The Business of Escrow I, II and III and other classes offered, Teresa is now excited to be part of The Business of Escrow as an instructor knowing that education is vital in this ever changing industry. Working as an Escrow Assistant in both independent and title escrow for over 8 years, she looks forward to working with entry-level students and helping them advance.

In 2014, Teresa is serving as a California Escrow Association State Director and the Tri County Escrow Association President. In 2012 Teresa served as the President of the Escrow Association of San Gabriel Valley.
