In 1977, the same
year Nancy received her Bachelor of Arts degree, she entered Bank of
America's escrow training program. She stayed with Bank of America
until 1985 and gone on to work in various capacities as Escrow
Officer, Branch Manager, Escrow Underwriter, and Escrow Trainer of
several independent and title escrow companies. She holds the professional designations from the California Escrow Association of Certified Escrow Officer, Certified Senior Escrow Officer, Certified Bulk Sale Specialist, Certified Mobile Home Specialist, and Certified Escrow Instructor. She has a community college lifetime credential and has taught escrow courses for the past 23 years. |

With a 33 - year background in the escrow industry and 23 years of teaching experience, she decided to launch her own escrow training company in 2004, The Business of Escrow ( www.thebusinessofescrow.com ). Nancy has served in practically every capacity of the San Gabriel and Tri County Escrow Associations including past president of both. Currently, she represents Tri County Escrow Association as their Senior California Escrow Association State Director. In addition, she currently serves on the Real Estate Advisory Committee at Mt. San Antonio Junior College. . |

Terri Fabbri has been Senior Escrow Officer at Design Escrow, Inc. in Arcadia since 2002. She began her escrow career in 1959 at Lawyers Title Division of Title Insurance and Trust Company in Los Angeles. Fabbri has worked for various independent escrow companies throughout the San Gabriel Valley during her escrow career and has processed all types of escrows including residential, refinances, tracts/subdivisions, commercial and industrial, mobile homes and business opportunity transactions. A long time member of Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley, Fabbri served as their president in 1990 and 1991. She currently chairs the Professional Designation/Continuing Education Committee. Fabbri has been active at the state level since 1990 and was appointed CEA Director in 1991. She has served on the Professional Designations, Membership, AEA, Awards, Conference Program, Public Relations, Newsletter and Technology Committees. Fabbri was elected to the CEA Executive Board in 1995 and has served as Conference Chair, Education Chair and Public Relations/Liaison Chair. She holds the Professional Designations of Certified Escrow Officer, Certified Senior Escrow Officer, Certified Bulk Sale Specialist, Certified Mobile Home Specialist and Certified Escrow Instructor.Terri is active promoting education and professionalism in the industry. A native Californian, Fabbri has lived in Arcadia for over 36 years. She has three grown children, three granddaughters and two grandsons. |

Miriam H. Brown began her career in 1976 with Western Title Insurance Company. She went on to work at other title companies, a bank and an internet company. She joined First American Title in 2003 when the National Commercial Services Division opened the Downtown Los Angeles office. Then, in 2005 she transferred to the Inland Empire. Over her carrer she has worked in the Counties of Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino. She currently works from her home office as a Consultant, Instructor, Notary Public, and expert Witness. As an active member and director of her regional escrow association, Miriam has worked on every committee and served as president in 1997. She developed the website for the Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley and currently maintains it. She holds the professional designations of Certified Escrow Officer, Certified Senior Escrow Officer, and Certified Escrow Instructor. |

Tamara joined Wells Fargo Escrow Services in 1988 as a receptionist. She worked for several independent escrow companies in Northern California. While working in Northern California she worked primarily with Bulk Sale and Mobile Home transactions, the personal property side of the escrow coin. In 1997 Tamara became engaged and moved to the Palmdale/Lancaster area where she managed a small Title Company branch office doing residential real estate and some personal property. During the ten years she has lived in the Antelope Valley she has worked for smaller Title Companies as an Escrow Officer and Manager. She spent 3 years of intensive study with a major title company in their National Commercial Escrow Department learning everything she could about doing escrow nationally, defeasance transactions and other commercial issues that can come up during the escrow process. |

She is now working for Federal Escrow, Inc. as an Escrow Officer. Her main focus is residential re-sale, commercial and personal property, including mobile homes and business sales. She is a past president of the Sacramento Valley Escrow Association (1997), Los Angeles Escrow Association (2005) and the Escrow Association of Antelope Valley (2006-2007). She is currently serving as the 2008 Professional Designation Portfolio Chair for CEA and a director for the Escrow Association of Antelope Valley. Miriam Bowers began her career in escrow in 1976 at Sherwood Escrow – Winfied Title Company in Ventura County. Over the years she has worked for independent escrows, assisted in the formation of broker owned escrows and for the last eighteen years worked as escrow officer and branch manager for several title company escrows in San Diego County. During these years she handled escrows of residential property, land acquisition, mobile home/land escrows, bulk sales, condominium conversions, commercial and high liability escrows, exchanges and high volume REO accounts. Received Certified Escrow Officer designation from California Escrow Association in 1989, Certified Senior Escrow Officer in 1996 and Certified Escrow Instructor in 2003. She was President of North San Diego County Escrow Association in 1992, 1993 and 1998, California Escrow Association State Director from North County Escrow Association from 1992 through 2006. Dave has been active in various Escrow Administration positions since 1997. Dave earned his Certified Senior Escrow Officer designation in 1987 and his Certified Escrow Instruction credential in 1995. He was President of the Ventura County Escrow Association in 1985 and President of the California Escrow Association in 1988. In 2002 Dave was awarded the title of “FRIENDS OF CEA” award. In 2006 Dave was awarded the CEA Chairperson of the Year award and was the second recipient of the CEA Lifetime Achievement award. Dave also received the LandAmerica WRELT “Escrow Elite” Award for 2006. Dave is currently an active member the Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley, the Ventura County Escrow Association and the Santa Clarita Valley Escrow Association and the 2005-2007 Chairman of the CEA Lender Relations Committee and is representing CEA as a member of the 2006-07 AEA-MBA Uniform Closing Instruction Committee and is chair of the AEA Lender Relations Committee for 2006-2007. He has been a seminar instructor and guest speaker at various national, state and regional Escrow Associations and Associations of Realtors. |

| Liz Simmons has been doing her own escrows as a Mortgage Broker in the State of California for over 15 years. Liz started out in banking after receiving her B.A. from Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois) and an M.B.A. from Loyola University (Chicago, Illinois). She entered the mortgage field in 1984 as a Branch Manager and after moving to California obtained a Real Estate Broker's license. She spent 7 ½ years as a mortgage underwriter for a wholesale lender underwriting conventional and FHA loans. Opening her own mortgage company in 1991 she soon after decided to do her own escrows. At the present time she does her own escrows as well as setting up Broker escrow offices, doing escrows for other Brokers on a contract basis and training other escrow officers on the SECS7 escrow program for LSI. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
